Paul Scriven visits Walkley Primary School
Paul Scriven, the Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate for Sheffield Central, has visited every single primary school in the constituency to talk to local parents about Lib Dem plans to reduce class sizes.
Liberal Democrats will give every child the fair start they deserve by providing cash to help schools reduce class sizes and increase one-to-one tuition. They believe it is the best way to ensure that every child has opportunities, no matter their background, their home town or their parents' bank balance.
Paul Scriven, Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate for Sheffield Central, said:
"I have visited every primary school in the Sheffield Central area over the last few weeks and our policies on education are going down well. Local parents are overwhelmingly in favour of extra help with such things as smaller class sizes and more one to one tuition."
Paul has an outstanding local record on education in Sheffield. With Paul as Leader of Council, Sheffield has seen it's best ever exam results, with performance beginning to catch up with the national average after years of Labour failure that put Sheffield at the bottom of the education league tables.
Paul added "Local Lib Dem action has had a real positive effect on the quality of education in Sheffield, turning around years of let downs under Labour that left Sheffield in the education doldrums. Sheffield schools would benefit even further if local people vote Lib Dem so that we can put our national policies into action at Westminster."
