Paul's PrioritiesPaul Scriven is passionate about representing the interests of Sheffield. Paul has delivered change in Sheffield; now is the time to take that change to Westminster. Paul has set out a positive vision of change encompassing five key priorities; Fair TaxesBy raising the limit before you pay income tax to £10,000, we will put £700 back in ordinary taxpayers' pockets. This will make our tax system fairer, benefiting millions not just the privileged few. A Fair Start for ChildrenWe will invest an extra £30m for local primary schools in Sheffield to give every child the best start in life. The money can be used by schools for anything from smaller class sizes to extra one-to-one tuition. A Fair & Green EconomyWe will create more green jobs including the electrification of the Sheffield to London line. The Liberal Democrats are the only party to have this scheme fully costed in their manifesto. Return Power to PeopleWe will introduce the right to sack your MP if they have been proven to have done something wrong. This would mean before a general election local people would have the power to call a by-election to replace failed MPs. A Fair EducationWe will abolish Tuition Fees, so that young people can go to University based on merit, not their bank balance. The Liberal Democrats are the only major party with a plan to abolish Tuition Fees. Paul said: "Fairness and positive change are the heart of what I and the Liberal Democrats will be offering. These are real costed policies that put fairness at the heart of what can be achieved for local people. As I have been going round speaking to local residents, it's clear that they want a change. These five promises I am making show real change that will work for real people right here in Sheffield."
